![]() ![]() Works perfectly fine, swift as lightning my six files (high res photos) were uploaded. Others are apparently saying that the two URLs that get us to the old basic uploader are reaching a working flickr tool, (I haven't tested the tool to see if I can upload that way). What a waste of resources if every interested party must write into the "Help Heroes" in the hopes of getting an update on this new development or bug. This is not specific to a single account, it appears to be site-wide and the situation should be addressed and updated in this general help forum. Is this a bug or an intentional deprecation of a seemingly working/safe tool? Surely at least one flickr staff member has seen this thread and yet the silence is deafening and all too familiar. I cannot see it all on my account anywhere, so thank you so much ! or at least post info on what is proposed to be done !ĭont forget its still here Posted 9 months ago. but I do wish they would respond to this thread. being summer holiday time right now for many. Come out of fhe site and go independently to your file. you cannot downloadīecause you cannot see them. When you go to your photos and for example click on the folder forĪugust. ![]() I don't think I ever used it except for testing: yes it still works for me too. All the time the very old uploadr, the subject of this thraed, was also in place. Before there was another, more primitive uploadr that was some years after 2012 totally removed because of security issues. If I remember correct, the current web based uploadr dates from 2012, ten years now. I think it might have been 15 years since the last time I ever even saw it. I do understand the cost of software maintenance, but I also think there's value in added/alternative functionality options. So weirdly retro.įWIW I do generally share the nostalgic laments about seemingly perfectly stable Old School stuff being phased out. I possibly would have missed it, but only in that way that a street looks funny when there's a big tree missing, but you can't quite tell for sure where it was.Īs for the uploader in question, wow, before I tried it a few hours ago I think it might have been 15 years since the last time I ever even saw it. I would never have missed it if not for this threadĪha. I think there was one in the top right corner of the web based uploadr. Is the complaint here that there used to be a clickable link for it somewhere? Where was that? I just tried using this uploader and it worked just fine. Glad it is not only me that is missing it, why has no one from flicker replying to us I guess you have many people who are so fully invested in Flickr over the years with their photos and they have no choice but to accept it. You have crippled all the tools I regularly use making Flickr junk. You already took away the 'Recent Activity' that most hated the bell replacement and searching my own tags will never be the same.that has been ruined for a very long time. Uh oh, here we go again, Flickr removing a perfectly useful tool - if the web based uploader fails for some reason it always comes in handy.Īnother FAIL BY FLICKR. ? please bring it back or replace asap please ! Perhaps the very fact it is called the "old" uploader, that is the reason, is it being done away with and there will be something new to replace it ? or have we lost it forever. ![]() it does appear that the old uploader was the only way to upload videos. Same here, it was working yesterday but to day it's not. Same here- old uploader not showing- much prefer it to any of the drag and drop options etc for editing. Hi my old up loader with the 6 boxes is not showing now when i go to up load was working fine last night if i use this link it shows and i can use it but i have to keep putting the link in to get it to workĮMcIsaac (staff) edited this topic 9 months ago. old uploader with the 6 boxes not showing Group images no longer llisting Other Groups Photo has been added?
